Local economic advisor/expert Bill McGinnis created "Team Comet Dog" (named after his 3-year old golden lab, Comet Dog).  This is a local, grass-roots effort to raise funds for wounded troops in Iraq & Afghanistan.

Bill's significant other, Julianna Olson, is a Major in the Air Force and a nurse who served in Iraq for six months. Julianna tells us that wounded troops are always in need of "additional comfort items", like pillows.  Something very simple yet something most of us take for granted.  However, donations for these kinds of items can make all the difference in the recovery of America's bravest.

The Cheap Shots has been named "the official" band of Team Comet Dog and will be raising money at every show we perform in 2010.  We hope to raise a minimum $100 per show and $5,000-$10,000 by the end of the year.
