JIM - Rhythm Guitar/Backing Vocals

When we say he's played it all, he's really played it all.  Jim's got more than 10 years of on-stage experience from rock to funk, even playing with ska/blues bands.  But 90s rock is where he cut his teeth, so joining The Cheap Shots feels like home. 

Jim likes to tell people he's classically-trained in guitar, but in truth... he holds a Bachelor's degree in String Performance and a Music Education degree on the viola, violin, cello and bass from UW-LaCrosse.  Regardless, don't let the fancy titles fool you... Jim's rock infuences include Van Halen, Hendrix, Jimmy Paige and Stevie Vai.  So whether you're craving Bethoven or Black Betty... Jim can cover both, very well.
