ERIC - Drums/Backing Vocals
When it comes to picking up a tune and going with it, they don't get much better then Eric. He walked into our audition with the three hardest songs on our set list memorized like he's played them for years. Since he was 8 years old, he's been banging away through high school Concert, Marching and Jazz Band and into snare drumming in bugle corps after high school. Eric has been in bands since the 9th grade so stage precense is second nature to the guy, not to mention he co-founded Cincinnati's "Best Roots Rock Band", The Kevin Fox Band, and took the tour through Florida and into New York while cutting three CDs. In his spare time (we wanted to make a pun there and say "snare" time but we "spared" you the bad joke - ha ha!), he freelanced with original groups Lounge Project, Scott Rockitt Band and Johnny Delegrange.
Eric plays Pearl reference and Session series drums with Zildjian cymbals, Paiste 2002 sound edge hi hats, Remo heads and uses Promark sticks (that's "biz" talk, by the way). He said something else about a "reverse power dot head" but we're afraid to inquire further about that. His influences range from Kenny Aronoff to Matt Cameron, Tommy Aldridge and particularly Alex Van Halen (of course).
