6.30.09 - We're still waiting to hear from one of our guitarist candidates, and are accepting any other candidates who want to try out.  Final FINAL audition is Monday, July 6.  Let us know if you're interested or know someone who might be!  Also, look for an article on The Cheap Shots on OnMilwaukee.com July 22!

6.25.09 - Well we've narrowed our guitarist search down two two outstanding candidates.  we'll be hearing them one last time on Monday, July 29 and will be announcing our decision at that time.  ALSO... stay tuned to find out how YOU can vote on OUR set list!

6.21.09 - The Cheap Shots have begun auditioning new rhythm guitar candidates.  We have six enthusiastic candidates, so stay tuned for the latest on the search!  We expect to have our newest member in place by the end of the month!

6.19.09 - BREAKING NEWS... The Cheap Shots has parted ways with rhythm guitarist, Jerry Rehbein.  Thanks from us for all his work.  Stay tuned for more information on the newest member of The Cheap Shots!

6.16.09 - Just confirmed... The Cheap Shots will play Mo's Irish Pub at their Downtown location on August 1 from 10:00pm-1:30am!  We'll be doing one set from 10:00pm-11:30pm, we'll take a 30-minute break and then play another set from midnight to 1:30am.  Mark your calendars!

6.14.09 - Another great show at Long Wong's Saturday night!  Photos from the show are now up on our photos page... be sure to check them out!  We're off until July 24, but we'll continue to update our news page so keep comin' back!

6.12.09 - Looking forward to having the "original" crew back with The Cheap Shots tomorrow night at Long Wong's!  The Cheap Shots are playing another post-game party immediately following the Brewers-White Sox game.  Since it's a 3:00pm game, the show will start about 20-30 minutes after it ends (approx. 6:30pm).  Come be part of the party!

6.10.09 - The Cheap Shots have confimed the Milwaukee Rally at the House of Harley!  Mark your calendars - Thursday, September 3 from 11:00am-2:30pm!  Yes, it's early but we're kicking off the Rally!  Make lunch plans to be at the House of Harley that day and come take care of that morning rock-on!  :-)

6.07.09 - Another AWESOME show!  The Old German Beer Hall was packed and rockin' last night!  Be sure to check the "photos" section of our Web site to see some very candid shots from the show... there might even be a video or two!

6.04.09 - The Cheap Shots just confirmed a first-ever show at Mo's Irish Pub!  Mark your calendars... Saturday, August 1!  We're not sure if it's the downtown or Tosa location yet, so stay tuned for details!

6.03.09 - The Cheap Shots have confirmed another show at what many call "Biker's Paradise!"  We're booked into Smokin' Joe's (6139 W. Beliot Road, West Allis) on Friday, August 21 from 9:45pm-1:45am.  Ride a motorcycle?  Ride it, rev it and get in free!  Stay tuned for more details!

6.02.09 - SPECIAL SHOW JUST CONFIRMED!  Friday, July 24 at MJ's on Milwaukee (332 N. Milwaukee St.) in Milwaukee's Historic Third Ward!  The Cheap Shots will be playing OUTSIDE on MJ's patio for a "Cheap Shots Happy Hour" special from 5:00pm-9:00pm.  The music will be bouncing off the buildings in The Third Ward, so make your plans to party with The Cheap Shots on Friday, July 24!

5.31.09 - WOW!  What a fantastic show at Mikey's!  We had more than 100 people turn out, so thanks for your continued ROCK support!  C.J. 5.30.09 - Turns out we picked up a GREAT guitarist for tonight's show at Mikey's.  C.J. Topes (www.myspace.com/cjtopesband) will be taking the stage with The Cheap Shots at 10:00pm.  Come check us out!

5.29.09 - UPDATE!  Turns out Ryan cannot play bass for us, so if you'd like to see the first-ever 4-man Cheap Shots show, come on out to Mikey's!  It should be... interesting!  

ORIGINAL POST - So we have to do some shuffling of personnel for the coming gigs!  Poor Brad threw out his back while setting up a swimming pool for his kids (get well, Brad!).  So the show on Saturday, May 30 at Mikey's will feature Matt (our bassist) on lead guitar and child-prodigy Ryan (from the band, "Milwaukee") on bass.  ALSO... our show at the Old German Beer Hall will feature Matt on rhythm guitar, Drew (with several bands in the Janesville area) will play lead and Ryan will again take care of the bass.  Our next "original lineup" show will be Saturday, June 13 at Long Wong's.  WHEW!  That's a lot of changes, but we'll get through it just fine!  Hope to see you there!

05.28.09 - We have JUST launched our NEW Web site!  Check out www.thecheapshots.com and send it to everyone you know!  Photos, sound/video samples, you name it... it's there!

05.26.09 - We're working on the new Web site.  It should be ready to launch very soon!

05.11.09 - The Cheap Shots have just signed on to play the Old German Beer Hall's Riversplash party!  This is going to be a HUGE event with hundreds of people.  Be sure to come out to the show!

05.07.09 - Long Wong's has re-signed The Cheap Shots to play again after the Brewers-White Sox game!  This will be The Cheap Shots' second post-game party at Long Wong's!  Put it on the calendar!

05.02.09 - Mikey's has re-signed The Cheap Shots to play on May 30!  Come check us out!

04.29.09 - Cali's Lounge in Brookfield has invited us out for a gig on Saturday, August 8!  See you on stage!
